Job Summary:

The Builder Representative plays a fundamental role working to create working relationships with the
builder community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with your RSM to communicate and coordinate how Tamlyn can best serve existing
builders in your territory.
• Promote Tamlyn brands and establish relationships in your assigned area with builders,
contractors, developers, engineers, and all ancillary businesses (associations and other
complimentary building product manufacturers) and social media.
• Join your Builders Association and actively be involved in promoting Tamlyn.
• Provide product and industry knowledge and training to builders utilizing Tamlyn
approved presentation materials.
• Provide product knowledge seminars with builders, contractors, and installers; pre-
construction meetings on job-sites as needed.
• Reach out to and work with other Tamlyn departments as needed (marketing, logistics,
operations, accounting, HR) to assist the sales team, builder, and prospect inquiries.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate a strong understanding of market conditions,
trends, and competitive environment in the territory.

Job Requirements:

• Establish rapport with builders and associated construction members.
• Maintain and expand Tamlyn’s database of leads, people, companies, opportunities and projects
within the assigned territory using SalesForce.
• Learn to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Attend industry shows per Tamlyn guidelines.
• Practice good conflict resolutions skills.
• Build and maintain Builder relationship
• Prepare a monthly report identifying the progress of the territory.
• Complete product usage forms for rebate accounts in a timely manner.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Be on time and present for every meeting, every day.
• Thrive in a self-directed environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

General Routines:

• Travel to areas within your geographical footprint is determined by sales opportunities
available.
• Mornings: in the field for jobsites, customer and prospect visits. Frequency of visits will be
determined by your judgment as to customer needs.
• Afternoons: follow up calls and emails.
• Work leads provided by Tamlyn though Dodge, tradeshows and inquires.
• Participate in Builder Yard, Big Box and Dealer events for Builders.
