Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, spraying, and curing powder coatings on a variety of metal building materials (such as brackets, railings, panels, and custom trims).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints or work orders to determine which areas need to be masked off using high-temperature tape and plugs.
  • Operate electrostatic powder spray guns (manual guns, fluidizing hoppers, and booths) to apply even coats of powder.
  • Maintain consistent thickness and coverage across various shapes, contours, and batch sizes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on spray guns, booths, filters, and hoppers to prevent color contamination.
Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a powder coat painter or industrial spray painter.
  • Strong understanding of electrostatic powder coating equipment, mil thickness gauges, and oven curing profiles.
  • A sharp eye for surface defects and a commitment to high-quality finishes.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work in a shop environment that can be hot near the ovens.
  • Willingness to strictly adhere to safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE (respirators, safety glasses, steel-toe boots).
  • Fluent in Spanish

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in a small-batch or job-shop manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication or building materials.
