Roofing Sales Manager

Job Summary:

The Roofing Sales Manager is responsible for promoting sales, product training and education to the Roofing Supply Dealers and contractors throughout the United States. They will also be responsible for the training to Tamlyn Employees and partners.

Essential Functions:

• Comply with Tamlyn Safety Policies and Procedures
• Support the Sales Teams and Customers with any and all technical questions
• Provide technical support in person or via phone for sales representatives and customers
• Training on any new product launch
• Test new products for fit for use
• Travel to customer locations to administer trainings, provide support, and assist with technical troubleshooting when needed.
• Communicate closely with sales and management to ensure adequate training and asses training needs
• All other duties as requested or assigned

• Strong computer literacy: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to make sound decisions independently
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Tactful, Diplomatic, Empathetic. Says the right thing, knows how to bridge gaps of understanding, and is sensitive to others

• Communications must be tactful with customers, managers and other levels of personnel.

Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

The employee should possess the ability to:
• Travel if/when required
• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to transport training materials and tools to training locations both on and off-site
• Prolong standing or seating in stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
• Complete repetitive movements such as typing, talking and walking, etc.
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
• Complete repetitive movements
• Move or traverse about the facilities
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
